About Oral or maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) deals with diagnosis and treatment of patients with mouth, neck, jaws, face or other surgeries such as removal of tumors, cosmetic surgeries and treatment of injuries on the face.
Our Oral (mouth) and maxillofacial (face and jaw) surgeries include the following.
- Misaligned jaws : isalignment of your jaw can lead to your top or bottom row of teeth to mismatch. It can cause bite and dental health issues.
- Impacted wisdom teeth : Teeth either become stuck under the gum or are only able to partially break through the gum. It may cause pain, damage to other teeth or dental problems.
- Oral reconstructive surgery: Reconstructive surgery repairs parts of your body affected by defects you were born with, defects that have developed because of disease, or defects caused by an injury.
- Cleft lip and cleft palate: It is an abnormal development of the face. The child typically has a split in the upper lip and the palate. It can result in problems in feeding, hearing, speech and altered growth of facial skeleton.
- Breast reconstruction : To rebuild the shape of your breast after surgery to remove the cancer.
- Limb reconstruction: This surgery helps deal with the problem in which a limb is the wrong shape or length, and function is affected.

are available. - Microsurgery : These surgeries can be performed to replace parts of the body affected by injury or disease, such as cancer. Such complex reconstructions restore the form and function of the injured tissue.
