VASCULAR ANOMALIES

Vascular anomalies (vascular birthmarks) are conditions which affect the vascular (circulatory) system. Vascular anomalies are either –

  • check-mark-1Hemangiomas (vascular tumors) are growths in the blood vessels.
  • check-mark-1Vascular deformities are abnormalities in the blood vessels, which includes veins, lymph vessels, capillaries, and arteries. They are usually present at the time of births
  • check-mark-1Vascular anomalies can cause pain, swelling, bleeding, infection.

melanocytic nevus
These nevus or big black moles may be present anywhere in the body, sometimes
with hair in it. These lesions may require surgical removal for better aesthetic
appearance.

  • check-mark-1The embolisation procedure is a non-surgical method which aims to block blood vessel abnormalities which are causing the patient discomfort.
  • check-mark-1Laser thearaphy can target the red pigment in blood and blood vessels while leaving the surrounding areas unaffected.
