- Don’t Sleep Flat or on Your Side
Avoid lying flat or sleeping on your side. This can increase swelling and put pressure on your nose. Always sleep on your back with your head elevated.
- Don’t Apply Ice Directly on the Nose
While cold compresses help reduce swelling, never place ice directly on your nose. Instead, apply it gently around the cheeks and eyes.
- Don’t Wear Glasses Too Soon
Avoid wearing glasses or sunglasses for at least 6–8 weeks, as they can put pressure on the nasal bridge and affect healing.
- Don’t Blow Your Nose
Blowing your nose can disrupt healing tissues and cause complications. If you feel congested, follow your surgeon’s advice for safe relief.
- Don’t Engage in Strenuous Activities
Avoid heavy lifting, gym workouts, and intense physical activities for several weeks, as they can increase swelling and risk of bleeding.
