Day of Surgery and Day 1–3: Immediately After Rhinoplasty

You will wake from general anaesthesia with a nasal splint or cast on the outside of your nose, internal dissolvable sutures or soft nasal packs, and moderate swelling across the nose and cheeks. Week 2: Splint Removal and Your First Reveal

 
 

The splint or external cast is typically removed at your one-week or ten-day post-operative appointment. For many patients, this is the moment they have been most looking forward to — and it is important to set expectations correctly.
What you will see at splint removal: Your nose will be visibly reshaped. The hump that was there before will be gone (if that was the goal). The tip will look more refined.
